UIU’s BSc in CSE program receives Washington Accord accreditation.

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering (BSc in CSE) program at United International University (UIU) has received accreditation under the prestigious Washington Accord, marking a significant milestone for the university’s engineering education.
The accreditation has been granted through the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) by its Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE). The recognition has been awarded for a six-year cycle and will remain effective from December 3, 2026, to December 2, 2029.
This internationally recognized accreditation places UIU’s BSc in CSE program on par with leading engineering programs around the world. As a result, graduates of the program will be considered equivalent to graduates from top engineering institutions in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
The accreditation is expected to significantly enhance global mobility, career opportunities, and higher education prospects for both current students and future graduates of the program. It will also help establish UIU graduates as internationally competent engineering professionals.
The Washington Accord ensures that accredited programs meet global standards in engineering education. This recognition confirms that UIU’s curriculum, faculty expertise, and academic facilities align with international technological and professional requirements, equipping students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and competencies demanded by the global engineering industry.
